Sitting atop Nakkerd Hill (also spelt Nagakerd) near Chalong, construction began in 2004. Expansion of the base was ongoing as of 2015. We only did the 3 hour tour but it was totally worth it to feed and walk around free range with such a huge animal. Highly recommendedPhuket Bird Park Spacious animal park with many colorful species of birds in a lush setting with regular bird shows.Phuket Botanic Garden Phuket Botanical Garden in Chalong offers an interesting day out for those interested in gardening and botany. The market spreads over a very large area near Phuket Town, so to survey every path, shop and stall, you may need at least 2 hours.
